Alpha(s) Charged with the overall preservation and continuance of the pack, the Alpha(s) are jacks of all trades. Filling in the roles of low, or underpopulated ranks and ensuring the protection of and guidance of the pack as a whole. They make the final decision on pack politics, promote/demote members as well as grant/preform bonding ceremonies and breeding rights.
Beta(s) The trusted, loyal advisers. Beta(s) help to divide the tasks of the council, and resolve remedial problems in the Alpha(s) absence. As second in command, Beta(s) may be left in charge of the pack in the event the Alpha(s) are unable to lead or are absent.
Elite(s) The best of the best of their ranks. Elites train other wolves interested in the rank, as well as serve as the "voice" of the rank in the form of a lower- council.

Battalion(s) These wolves patrol throughout the clearing and deepest part of the territory, enforcing boundaries and pack law. They welcome new comers to our home and are our clearing's defense against would-be threats.
Balker(s) Ensuring the bellies of our members do not go empty is the never ending task of Balkers. They are in charge of tracking down viable prey, as well as organizing hunts, maintaining the cache and keeping a steady eye out for changes in prey numbers.
Keeper(s) The health and well being of individual wolves falls on the shoulders of the Caretakers. These members care for the sick, injured and weak. They have extensive knowledge of herb lore including the use and availability of varies plants/herbs.

Pup(s) Wolves under 1 year of age who are not yet old enough to take up a rank of their own who were either born into or initiated into the pack.
Packmember(s) Wolves who have completed their assessment and taken up membership in NightHunters. Some will go on to choose higher ranks while others are content filling in where-ever is needed.
Initiate(s) More of a time period than a rank - During Initiation you get to know the pack, its laws and its ways to see if it is a good fit for you.
